2009 fPAR rankings
You asked for it.. And now after tweaking the points above replacement factors, I’ve completed the fPAR player rankings for 2009. Not only do we give you a ranked list, but also a point value for each player, so you can group them into tiers and maximize value.
Every player we included in our official projections is ranked by total fantasy value (net points above replacement). Yes, this is a valuable guide to fantasy drafting, especially in the early rounds, and I like the revised factors a lot more than some of our early results we got.
One of the ideas I’d like to implement in the future is an in-draft fPAR tracker which would keep track of expected cumulative stats and approximate how many fantasy points you could really accrue in each category. As you draft, this tool would help you see your team’s limitations and allow you to make on-the-fly adjustments. But that’s a project for another year.
